Laura Wady
Biography:
Laura Wady is a Bristol based artist and MRes student in Theatre and Performance studies. A keen observer of the unusual and the strange, Laura seeks to explore body and pattern through drawing and making. With one book currently published entitled [phantom] – this is an illustrated sequence exploring ghosts and the specter of beauty, she is currently working on publishing her follow up book to be called ‘Night Terrors’.
Laura takes inspiration from much including carnival, the circus, performance art, old fashioned horror films, zombies, vampires, nature, kitsch iconography, mysticism and music.
She also likes whippets, True Blood and minimal techno.
