George Chislett moved to Bristol to complete his degree in Illustration at University of the West of England, and decided he liked the place so much, that he would stay.
His work is focused on texture and shape, with a hand drawn and hand made aesthetic. Using multiple layers and opacities in his work, he creates depth for his characters and their surroundings.
His work has featured in i-D Magazine, Anorak Magazine, Venue and PAPER Publication. With a hand full of children’s book projects, and high hopes for the future, he works industriously from his studios in Stokes Croft on his narratives of mechanical animals and planetary fishing trips.
